The St Lucia area is well known for its animal live, fishing waters and its wetlands. Winter time offers some of the most spectacular game watching opportunities in South Africa. On our estate, you will find the only tropical bird park in the immediate St Lucia area. The bird park features a range of rare and beautiful bird specimens. We have a wine cellar stocked with some of the best red and white wines from the Cape wine lands of South Africa. We will excite your taste buds with varital sensations such as Pinotage and Cabernet. We stock wines from cellars with international acclaim. The guesthouse is fully air-conditioned. Each room has its own en suite, television, coffee bar and house keeping. The ladies bar promises social relaxation with other guests in the guesthouses' luxurious lounge - with the evenings filled with the sounds of tropical bird calls in the background. Monzi, is only 10 minutes drive from St Lucia and about 30 minutes drive from Richards Bay - allowing quick access to town. Still, the estate manages to preserve the tranquility of its natural surroundings. The Cane Cutter Estate is situated in Monzi, which in turn is only a few kilometers from St Lucia. Surrounded by the classic surroundings that one would expect in old Natal's warm sub-tropical climate.
The Estate offers two accommodation types namely: self-catering chalets and fully air conditioned luxury accommodation at the estate's guest house.

DirectionsFrom the N2 take the Mtubtuba turn off then follow the sign boards to St Lucia. On the road to St Lucia about 12km from Mtubatuba you get the Monzi turn-off. Our signs will be at this turn-off and are as large as life. From the turn-off it is about 5km to the estate. There are Cane Cutter sign boards right to the gate.
