Whale-watching Tour South Africa

A Whale watching tour is an awesome experience. Whether it be up close in the open waters of the ocean with these mighty creatures, or standing on land Watching with the naked eye an/or binoculars, seeing the largest of the sea mammals is breathtaking.

The best time to view the whales along the East Coast of South Africa is in August when the whales are breaching; however you can go out any time from between the months of mid May to mid December annually.

If you visit the Western Cape between July and December you are almost certain to see southern right whales.  In winter they use the shallow coastal waters to mate and rear their calves.

A whale is a delight to watch no matter if it is the impressive breach up out of the water, flipper slapping, lob tailing and sailing or slow swimming, you will be entertained the entire time you watch a whale.

While you are out on your whale-watching tour, keep an eye out for humpback and bryde whales too!
